Damp Proofing Northern Ireland - Damp Works NI

"AVOID I contacted Dampworks to complete a Damp & Woodworm survey on a property I was purchasing based on advice from the Homebuyers Survey detailing evidence of Damp/rot and woodworm. Dampworks survey returned and did not identify any damp in the bathroom or woodworm in the loft - when I queried this they said "we don't base our surveys off previous surveys carried out by others"....clearly they don't base their surveys on the facts or evidence in front of them either. Widespread woodworm evidence was visible to my untrained eye and multiple areas in the bathroom with damp and rot visible. As a result I had to find another surveyor and pay again, having wasted almost £400 on the dampworks survey. I raised a complaint with dampworks and had to follow up 4 times over 3 weeks to even get an acknowledgement. The acknowledgement did not even apologise for their incomplete inadequate survey or offer any form of compensation. I responded to the email and have been ignored since. Thankfully I was covered by my credit card but DO NOT USE this company. Appalling customer service and clearly the surveyors don't have eyes."
